Somewhere between asking for a VIN number and hearing someone’s entire life story, I realized customer service is really just unpaid therapy with occasional car repairs.
Still waiting on those 17 digits though. 😂
Just kidding! We love our customers and all the stories that come with them. Come for the car repairs, stay for the conversation. Apparently, we do both. 😂

Check engine light on? 🚨
Maybe it’s a sensor.
Maybe it’s a fuse.
Maybe it’s a bad relay.
Maybe it’s a wiring issue.
Maybe a module isn’t communicating.
Maybe your battery keeps dying.
Maybe your car won’t start at all.
The problem is… your car can’t tell you exactly what’s wrong.
A trouble code gives us a CLUE not necessarily the answer.
And the part showing the problem isn’t always the part CAUSING the problem.
That’s where electrical diagnostics come in.
We test circuits, power and grounds, wiring, sensors, fuses, relays and modules to trace the problem back to the actual source.
Because replacing parts until something works gets expensive FAST.

If you know me, you already know how excited I am that fall is FINALLY here.
The crisp mornings, the cooler weather, the leaves changing, soup season… I have been waiting for this.
But with all the pretty fall weather also comes rain, slick roads, and before we know it… winter.
So for October, I wanted our shop special to be something that actually helps make sure everyone is safe on the road.
🍂 OCTOBER BRAKE SPECIAL 🍂
Brake pads: $199 per axle, parts + labor.
If you’ve been hearing that little squeak and pretending you don’t hear it… this is your sign. 😂

I’m ready for sweater weather, colorful trees and chilly mornings.
I am NOT ready for any of you sliding through an intersection. 😂

Some jobs aren’t quick. Some aren’t easy. And some require a whole lot more than swapping a few parts.
This 2015 Ram 2500 with a 6.4L V8 needed the kind of work we want to be known for.
Engine replacements. Transmission replacements. Engine rebuilds. Major mechanical repairs.
The teardown.
The diagnosis.
The parts.
The tools.
The measurements.
The patience.
The rebuild.
The first start.
Big jobs are tedious. They take time, experience, and attention to every little detail because when you’re this deep inside an engine, the details are the job.
If your vehicle needs an engine or transmission, don’t assume it’s time to give up on it.

We like our options. 😏

An SUV with room for everybody.
A sedan that makes sense.
And a few that don’t need to make sense at all. 😂
Because sometimes you know exactly what you’re looking for and sometimes you just need to see the right one.
Either way… we’ve got options.
Which one are you stopping for? 👀

Not every shop offers smoke testing, and honestly, we wish more did.
Too often, customers come in after spending money on parts that didn’t fix the problem because nobody took the time to properly diagnose the leak.
A smoke test helps us see exactly where the leak is hiding so we’re not guessing with your money.
We’re proud to offer this service because our goal has always been simple: help our community make informed repair decisions and avoid unnecessary expenses.
💨 Smoke Test Special - $125

What Is a Smoke Test and Why Do We Perform One?
A smoke test is one of the most effective ways to find leaks that can’t be seen with the naked eye.
When a vehicle has an EVAP leak code, vacuum leak, or certain drivability issues, the problem is often caused by a tiny crack, loose connection, damaged hose, or failing component somewhere in the system.
Instead of guessing, we connect a smoke machine and safely fill the system with diagnostic smoke.
Then we watch.
Where the smoke escapes, the leak exists.
It’s that simple.
✅ Finds EVAP leaks
✅ Detects vacuum leaks
✅ Helps diagnose check engine lights
✅ Prevents unnecessary parts replacement
✅ Saves time and money
Many leaks are too small to see, hear, or feel but smoke doesn’t lie.
That’s why a smoke test is one of our favorite diagnostic tools. It allows us to pinpoint the exact source of a leak so we can recommend the correct repair instead of throwing parts at the problem and hoping for the best.
At @automotiveconciergekc, we believe in finding the problem before replacing parts.
💨 Find the leak. Fix it right.
📞 Call or message us to schedule a smoke test if you’re dealing with a check engine light, EVAP code, rough idle, or suspected vacuum leak.

BIG NEWS FROM AUTOMOTIVE CONCIERGE
If you had asked me two years ago if we would be running an automotive sales and service business, I probably would have told you that you were crazy.
But it’s amazing what can happen when you have a dream, a lot of determination, and the willingness to keep showing up every day even when things get hard.
Less than two years ago, none of this existed. No dealership. No repair shop. No inventory. No customers. Just an idea and a vision for building something different.
Today, I’m incredibly grateful to announce that Automotive Concierge will soon be moving into a larger location as we continue to grow and expand.
This next chapter will allow us to better serve our customers and bring even more of our operations under one roof, creating a smoother experience for everything your vehicle needs:
🚗 Buy
🔄 Trade
💰 Finance
🔧 Repair
🛠️ Maintenance
Along with our new location, we’re excited to introduce our updated branding, which reflects not only who we are today, but where we’re headed in the future.
None of this would be possible without our customers, friends, family, referral partners, and everyone who has supported us along the way. Thank you for believing in us.
We’re just getting started.
Kansas City, stay tuned. Bigger and better things are coming soon.

Toyota didn’t become one of the most trusted names in the automotive industry by accident.
They built their reputation on reliability, longevity, and vehicles that just keep going long after many others have called it quits.
That’s why you’ll still see Corollas on the road with 200,000, 300,000, and sometimes even 400,000+ miles.
If you’re looking for dependable transportation, excellent fuel economy, and a vehicle known for keeping ownership costs low, it’s hard to beat a Corolla.

Most people see three mechanics looking at an engine.
We see three layers of quality control.
Because guessing is expensive.
If your car is making a noise, showing a warning light, or just doesn’t feel right, bring it in.

This Subaru WRX came in with a bad timing.
A timing is one of those things most people never think about… until it becomes a very expensive problem.
If you’re hearing rattling on startup, have a check engine light related to timing, rough running, or your vehicle just doesn’t sound quite right, don’t ignore it. A failing timing chain can cause major engine damage if it lets go.
The good news? We handle jobs like this every day.
Whether it’s routine maintenance, diagnostics, timing chains, engine work, or just figuring out what that weird noise is before it becomes a bigger problem, we’ve got you covered.
Because “I’ll get it checked later” has emptied more wallets than almost anything else in the automotive world. 😅

If your car smells like gasoline, don’t ignore it.
That smell usually means fuel vapors are escaping somewhere in your fuel system. Sometimes it’s something simple like a loose gas cap, but it can also be a fuel line leak, injector leak, or an issue with the EVAP system.
Gas fumes aren’t just annoying — they can be dangerous and usually mean your vehicle needs to be inspected.
At our shop we use diagnostics and smoke testing to find the exact source of the leak so it can be fixed properly.
If your car smells like gas and you’re in Kansas City, we’d be happy to take a look.

Check engine light on? This is how we actually find if you have a leak.
A smoke test helps us find hidden air leaks in your vehicle.
It’s commonly used for vacuum leaks, EVAP leaks, and intake leaks, all things that can trigger a check engine light.
We send smoke through the system, and wherever it escapes is where the problem is.
Our smoke test diagnostics are $125.

We’re not your typical mechanic shop and honestly, we never want to be.
At Automotive Concierge KC, we believe car care should feel human. Genuine conversations, honest work, and people who care enough to make sure you fully understand what’s going on with your vehicle.
Tamer explains what’s wrong with the car, not talking at her, but walking with her through every detail. Because everyone deserves to feel confident and informed when it comes to their car.
We see our shop as more than a place for repairs. It’s a classroom, a community, and a space where people are treated with respect. We take the time to teach, to listen, and to make sure no one ever feels out of place.
Because when you understand what’s happening under the hood, you don’t just fix a car you build trust. And trust is what keeps communities strong.
If you’ve ever walked into a mechanic shop and felt like you didn’t belong, come see what it feels like to be heard, respected, and part of the conversation.

Your brake pads and rotors work as a team. The pads create friction, and the rotors absorb the heat. Over time, both wear down together. If you replace one and not the other, you risk uneven contact, noise, vibration, and faster wear on your new pads.
That’s why at Automotive Concierge KC, we do it the right way replacing and torquing everything to spec, cleaning the hub surface, and testing for smooth, even braking before the car ever leaves the bay.
You’ll always know exactly what we’re doing and why. Honest, quality work that keeps your family safe on the road.

Big news!!!!!
We’re growing and officially adding to our team at Automotive Concierge KC! Things have picked up fast between the dealership and the shop. We picked up 15 cars just this week, and with customer vehicles coming in daily, it’s time to bring someone on board who wants to grow with us.
We’re looking for someone reliable who can be here full-time or close to it. If you know engines, transmissions, and diagnostics, amazing!! If you’re not fully experienced but you’re mechanically smart, hardworking, and willing to learn, we’re open to that too!
We’re flexible on pay — hourly, flat rate, salary, 1099 or W2 we’ll figure out what works best together. What matters most to us is work ethic, pride in your craft, and being someone we can count on.
And honestly — you get to hang out with me all day… and I’ll feed you. So there’s that. 😌
If this sounds like your kind of place, call or text me at 913-244-5837 or Tamer at 714-863-1330. Come by, meet us, and see if you want to be part of what we’re building.

Ever wonder why something that seems simple can still cost a few hundred dollars to fix?
This photo might look a little dramatic, the entire dashboard taken apart just to reach one small wire, but this is what it actually takes to diagnose a “simple” issue in a Jeep Latitude.
To get to one connector and properly test for error codes, we had to remove multiple trim pieces, the radio, and wiring harnesses, all while making sure nothing gets damaged in the process.
What most people don’t see are the hours of training, the expensive diagnostic tools, and the responsibility that come with doing this work safely and correctly. It’s not just about time, it’s about skill, precision, and accountability.
When you bring your car in, you’re not just paying for a fix. You’re paying for the knowledge to know exactly what’s wrong and the experience to make it right the first time.
That’s why quality repairs cost what they do and why we take so much pride in doing them the right way.
Save this post for the next time you’re wondering why a “quick fix” isn’t always quick.

This Chevy Equinox came into our shop needing a ball joint replacement to pass inspection. The customer was quoted $1,100 at another shop 😳.
We did the exact same repair for almost half that price—saving them hundreds while still using quality parts and expert service.
At Automotive Concierge KC, we believe car care shouldn’t break the bank. From diagnostics to major repairs, we’ll keep you on the road safely and affordably.

This isn’t just another used sedan — it’s one of the last true Lincoln luxury sedans, and with only 40k miles, it still feels practically new. The MKZ was discontinued after 2020, making well-kept examples like this one harder and harder to find.
This MKZ delivers everything you’d want in a luxury vehicle without the high luxury price tag. Premium leather seating, push-button start, a quiet, smooth ride, and a reputation for reliability make it an ideal daily driver or long-distance cruiser. With excellent fuel efficiency and Lincoln’s timeless styling, it’s both practical and refined.
The car is in very good condition, has been well maintained, and comes with a clean title. It’s priced competitively against similar cars on the market, many of which have far higher mileage.
The vehicle is located in Kansas City Metro, but we can arrange shipping anywhere in the United States.
At Automotive Concierge KC, we focus on providing gently used cars that are reliable, stylish, and affordable.
This Jeep has only 68k miles and comes with four-wheel drive, an automatic transmission, and the full Sahara option package. The silver exterior with red accents makes it stand out while still keeping the rugged Wrangler appeal. It has been well maintained, fully serviced, and recently detailed, making it ready for its next owner.
This Wrangler offers the best of both worlds: capability for off-road adventures and comfort for daily driving. With a removable hard top, premium interior, and low mileage, it is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a dependable Jeep.
We are located in Kansas City, but we can arrange shipping to any state. The asking price is $17,999.

We quietly started dabbling in selling a few cars on the side—and just like that, both of the ones we had are officially gone.
One went to a local friend, the other to someone out of town who trusted us to deliver.
If you’re looking for a solid cash car, something reliable for a teen, or just need wheels that’ll get you from A to B without drama—let me know. We’re slowly building this side hustle and would love to keep an eye out for you.
Tell me what you’re looking for and your budget, and we’ll be on the lookout like it’s our full-time job (because… it kind of is now).
We don’t just fix cars—we bring ‘em back to life.
This one? Full engine replacement.
Needed backup, so Tamer called in a couple of the crew.
Teamwork makes the engine drop smoother.
We do these kinds of jobs all the time—engine swaps, transmissions, suspension overhauls, full diagnostics… the big stuff most shops won’t touch.
No fluff. No drama. Just real work, done right, by people who actually care.
Save this video for when your car starts acting like it needs prayer.
Or better yet—send it to someone still getting dealership prices for basic work.

Check Engine Light On? Here’s What It Could Mean!
This week, we had a client whose check engine light popped on, paired with a noticeable engine misfire. After running a diagnostic, we traced the issue back to ignition coils and 16 spark plugs—a critical fix for their V8 engine.
👉 How It Started:
• The check engine light came on.
• They noticed a rough idle and reduced performance.
• Our diagnostic tool pulled up a misfire code, pointing to a failing ignition coil.
👉 What We Did:
• Replaced the ignition coil to restore spark and power.
• Swapped out all 16 spark plugs to ensure smooth, efficient combustion.
🛠️ Why It Matters: Ignoring a misfire can lead to bigger issues like damaged catalytic converters or engine wear. If your check engine light is on, don’t wait—your car is telling you something!
We make it easy by coming to you, diagnosing the problem, and fixing it on-site.

Common Reasons for Car Engine Oil Leaks:
If you’ve noticed oil spots under your car, here are the most common causes:
• Worn Seals/Gaskets: Parts like the oil pan or valve cover gaskets wear out over time, causing leaks.
• Loose Drain Plug: A loose or damaged oil drain plug can leak after oil changes.
• Damaged Oil Pump: A failing oil pump can lower pressure and lead to leaks.
• Cracked Oil Cooler Lines: Damaged lines can leak oil meant to cool your engine.
• Overfilled Oil: Too much oil increases pressure and forces leaks.
• High Oil Pressure: Excess pressure pushes oil out through worn seals.
• Sludge Build-Up: Dirty oil clogs passages, increasing pressure and leaks.
Don’t Ignore Oil Leaks!!!!
Oil leaks can damage your engine if left unchecked. Let Automotive Concierge KC handle it!
• We Come to You: Expert mobile repairs at your home or work.
• Free Car Check Promotion: Spot problems early.
• Experienced Mechanics: Skilled in all vehicles, including luxury brands.

Tips for Prepping Your Car for Winter:
1. Check Your Battery:
Cold weather drains battery life faster. Make sure yours is fully charged and in good condition to avoid getting stranded.
2. Inspect Your Tires:
Ensure your tires have enough tread and are properly inflated. Consider switching to winter tires for better traction on icy roads.
3. Top Off Fluids:
• Antifreeze: Keeps your engine from freezing.
• Washer Fluid: Use a winter formula to prevent freezing on your windshield.
• Oil: Cold weather can thicken oil; ensure yours is winter-ready.
4. Test Your Wipers:
Replace old wiper blades to handle snow and sleet.
5. Check Your Heating System:
Make sure your defroster and heater are working to keep you warm and your windshield clear.
6. Stock an Emergency Kit:
Include essentials like a blanket, flashlight, jumper cables, ice scraper, and some snacks in case of an emergency.
7. Inspect Your Brakes
Slippery roads demand reliable brakes. If they’re squeaking or grinding, get them checked ASAP.
8. Schedule a Check-Up:
If you’re unsure about your car’s winter readiness, we can come to you for a full inspection!

Winter Car Trouble? Here’s What to Watch For!
This customer’s car wouldn’t start without a jump, so we checked the charging system. The alternator was fine, but the battery was dead—cold weather often weakens batteries, making them more likely to fail.

We’ll come to you to keep your car winter-ready. Stay safe and warm out there!

What Does an Alternator Actually Do?
Here I’m replacing an alternator on a 2013 Honda Accord. The alternator is your car’s power plant, keeping the battery charged and running all the electrical components like your headlights, radio, and more.
How do you know if yours is failing?
- Dim headlights or flickering lights.
- Trouble starting your car.
- Weird electrical issues (radio, power windows acting up).
If your car is showing any of these signs, don’t wait until you’re stuck! We’ll come to you for a quick fix.
